Description

L'église Saint Médard de Dierre. Cette église à trois nefs fut construite avec l'argent des bouchers d'Amboise. En échange, les bouchers obtinrent le droit de faire paître leurs troupeaus de bovins dans la vallée. Il s'agit d'une église à nef lambrissée et coeur à voute angevine du XIIème siècle. Les collatéraux sont du XVème siècle et le clocher du XVIème siècle. Dierre a reçu la visite de la Reine-Mère d'Angleterre, Elisabeth.

The church of Saint Médard Dierre. This three-nave church was built with money from butchers Amboise. In exchange, the butchers were granted the right to graze their cattle herds in the valley.This is a church nave and paneled vaulted Angevin heart of the twelfth century.The collateral is the fifteenth century and the bell tower of the sixteenth century.

Dierre was visited by the Queen Mother of England, Elizabeth.
