| Description |
One of the three isolated tramways to the east of Berlin, the others being the Woltersdorfer Strassenbahn and the Strausberg. The free market has arrived. The time is 1992 and VW cars are for immediate delivery (a reduction of 11 years and 364 days since DDR times). The Schoeneiche network has been smartened up since my previous visit in January 1990. The location is Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station, the western terminus. The paintwork is much smarter than in the January 1990 photo. The operation <a rel="nofollow">celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1910</a>, becoming electric in 1914. |
