Description One of the class 251 eletric locomotives passes the Harz Mountains' own Sugarloaf, the result of mining activity which continues on a very large scale further west of Rübeland. The 25kv AC 50 Hz locomotive, no longer used on this isolated system, is taking Limestone empties back to the quarries near Rübeland. After a period of diesel operation, the current was finally switched back on in April 2009. Passenger services are no longer operated.
