Description
English: I found this heartwarming bronze tablet at a housewall in Nuremberg near the big market place.

It shows an obviously very wellknown and popular market-woman, who sold her vegetables almost every day during 1948 - 1997 at this place. Fifty years, and each day a hundred times the

question, which is written below her friendly face : "what do you need today ?" in the typical heavy dialect of the region. That's impressive, isn't it ?
Deutsch: Diese anrührende Bronzetafel fand ich an einer Hauswand in Nürnberg in der Nähe des Hauptmarktes. Sie zeigt eine offensichtlich sehr bekannt und beliebt gewesene Marktfrau namens Margaret ("Marcharedd", wie die Franken sagen).

An dieser Stelle verkaufte sie in den Jahren 1948 bis 1997 fast jeden Tag ihr Gemüse. Fünfzig Jahre lang, und jeden Tag hunderte Male an ihre Kunden die Frage, die unter ihrem freundlichen Gesicht steht : "Wos braung mern heit ?" ("Was brauchen wir denn heute ?") Das ist schon beeindruckend, oder ?
