Bahasa Indonesia: Presiden Republik Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, mengingatkan pentingnya terselenggaranya Pemilihan Umum 2014 berlangsung dengan baik,aman,damai,jujur,adil dan demokratis.

Hal tersebut diungkapkannya saat pertemuan silaturahmi dengan walikota, bupati, dan pejabat Muspida se-Sulawesi Selatan yang berlangsung di Barugae, Rujab Walikota Parepare, Rabu (19/1).Ia pun menambahkan bahwa Indonesia sudah dua kali melaksanakan dua kali pemilihan umum secara langsung yakni Pemilu 2004 dan 2009, dan semuanya berjalan dengan baik serta diakui oleh dunia internasional.


Dalam sambutannya, SBY mengingatkan bahwa Pemilu merupakan keharusan demokrasi dan konstitusi. “Jalankan dengan baik, tak perlu gaduh dan diseram-seramkan. Pemilu bukanlah sesuatu yang perlu ditakutan, tidak perlu diseram-seramkan," kata Presiden


Lebih lanjut, ia mengajak seluruh lapisan masyarakat agar bersama-sama menyukseskan Pemilu 2014 , tanpa adanya kegaduhan dan kekerasan. “Pemilu adalah keharusan demokrasi dan konstitusi. Olehnya itu mari jalankan dengan baik tanpa harus gaduh dengan aksi kekerasan” himbau SBY.
