Description
English: Spoked Chariot wheel of horse-drawn chariot, the Airavateswara Temple,Darasuram, Tamil Nadu, India. Darasuram temple is an World Heritage Site and this Monument was constructed by the King Rajaraja Chola II in the 12th century CE. The Airavateswara temple is a classic example of Chola art and architecture and this temple is replete with exquisite stone carvings. It stands as a mute witness to how cholas celebrated their victories by constructing the long-lasting stone temples.
