Description
English: 50 was the UIC Code number for the Deutsche Reichsbahn. 80 was the Bundesbahn, and now the Deutsche Bahn. The wagon number, 21-12 113 - 0 may be decoded here viz…5x2 =1,0 0x1=0 5x2 =1,0 2x2=4 1x1 =1 1x2=2 ,2x1-1 1x2 =2 1x1=1 3x2=6. Add together the resultants (10 is taken as 1 and 0) viz.: 1,0-0-1,0-0-4-1-2-2-2-1-6. Total 20. Subtract 10. Difference =0. Hence redundancy check number = 0.

Second 50 =DR ; First 50 = [1]wagon for inland traffic only. B=2nd class. m and h indicate size etc.

By this time, the Deutsche Reichsbahn had been merged with Deutsche Bundesbahn to form Deutsche Bahn AG in January 1994.
