Description
English: During a Memorial Day ceremony in 2010, at Bagram Airfield " the United States' largest base in Afghanistan " a nine foot steel construction beam from the World Trade Center (WTC), that was destroyed in the September 2001 terrorist attacks, was unveiled with the inscription "WTC 9 11 01" engraved on it. This beam stands proudly in front of the Combined Joint Task Force Headquarters as a daily reminder to those who serve in Afghanistan. (Photo Credit: Lt. Col. Juanita Chang)
