Summary

Description

1814 24th Street NW in Washington, D.C., in the United States. One more stop on the 2013 Kalorama House Tour!

This 1925 Georgian Revival-style home has four floors, with a formal receiving room with fireplace and servants hall on the ground floor. The second floor contains the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The two upper floors contain four bedrooms, three full baths and a half-bath, three fireplaces, and a master bedroom with full bathroom, dressing room, and sun room. A two-car detached garage and small garden are in the rear. It's worth $1.8 million.

It's not clear who built designed this home. The architect, however, designed the entire block. All the interior layouts are the same, but the exterior details differ enough to make one think each home is unique.

The home was owned by Murray and Elizabeth Drabkin in 2013. (Mr. Drabkin died on February 3, 2013.) One former owner in the 1940s was Wayne Parrish. Another in the 1950s was A.L. Luttrell. Another in the 1960s was Henry B. Wilson, Jr., son of Admiral Henry B. Wilson, Sr.
