| Description |
English: Derelict cafe / restaurant at Wookey Hole. This building was a cafe/restaurant (called the Gallopers) and is part of the Wookey Hole Caves complex. Many a visitor to the caves would have had a cake and cuppa in here - and it was also hired out for evening functions such as wedding receptions. It has seen better days!
The current owners of the Caves have applied for permission to build a 58 bedroom hotel here, so the cafe and adjacent disused swimming pool will soon be demolished. Update Jan 20th 2008. The buildings have now been demolished. |
