Deutsch: Das Reiterstandbild „Goldener Reiter" wurde 1736 in der sächsischen Landeshauptstadt Dresden auf Vorschlag des polnischen Königs und sächsischen Kurfürsten August des Starken auf dem Neustädter Markt der Inneren Neustadt in Dresden, nahe der Augustusbrücke auf einem Sandsteinsockel aufgestellt. Die vergoldete Skulptur, die August den Starken selbst zeigt, gehört zu den bedeutendsten Kunstwerken des Dresdner Barock. |
