Français : Deux hommes montés sur deux échelles posées contre la croix, dont l'une est tenue par saint Jean, font descendre le corps du Christ recueilli dans un linceul par Joseph d'Arimathie et derrière lui Nicodème avec un vase pour l'embaumement. Le instruments de la Passion sont à leurs pieds. La Vierge agenouillée, tient ses mains tendues vers le Christ. Le paysage montagneux en arrière plan contient une ville avec une église à bulbe évoquant Jérusalem. |

Démembré et les miniatures découpées au début du XVIIIe siècle puis montées sur une planchette de bois par un menuisier encadreur parisien vers 1790. Propriété de Georg Brentano puis acquis auprès de son fils par Henri d'Orléans, duc d'Aumale en 1891. Donné à l'Institut de France. |
