Toutefois, lorsque la paix fut assurée, on repritla fabrication et de 1871 jusquà nos jours, on a créé en-core quelques magnifiques dentelles. Lusage charmant dofîrir des dentelles dans les cor-beilles de mariage sest conservé et la mode des voiles demariée, le luxe des rideaux dameublement ont permisdexécuter encore de nos jours de grandes et fort bellespièces. Mais la concurrence de la machine qui se perfectionneconstamment menace de ruiner cette industrie. Beaucoupde dames ont abandonné le goût des belles dentelles, etse contentent de garnitures en imitation sans valeur etqui ne visent, par leur profusion, quà un effet factice. Une crise grave serait à redouter si lon ny apportaitpromptement remède, car les fabricants et beaucoup dou-vrières se découragent en se voyant abandonnés. Nous allons suivre les efforts faits, actuellement, dansle but de conjurer la crise de la dentelle.
