Description
Deutsch: Informationstafel zum Elser-Denkzeichen. Das Denkzeichen Georg Elser ist eine Skulptur in Berlin-Mitte zur Erinnerung an den deutschen Hitler-Attentäter und Widerstandskämpfer gegen den Nationalsozialismus Georg Elser. Die 17 Meter hohe Skulptur des Berliner Künstlers Ulrich Klages wurde am 8. November 2011 in einem Festakt der Öffentlichkeit übergeben. Sie befindet sich an der Ecke Wilhelmstraße/An der Kolonnade und wird ergänzt durch zwei im Gehweg eingelassene Zitate Elsers und eine Informationstafel.
English: Information board of the Denkzeichen Georg Elser. The historical marker Denkzeichen Georg Elser is a sculpture in Berlin-Mitte commemorating to the German opponent of Nazism and Hitler-assassin Georg Elser. The 17-meter high sculpture was created by the artist Ulrich Klages and was opened to the public on 8 November 2011. It is situated at the corner Wilhelmstraße/An der Kolonnade and is completed by two quotes from Elser, that were set into the sidewalk, and by an information board.
