Description
Deutsch: Das Denkmal erinnert an die bei einem Badeunfall im August 1851 ertrunkenen Militärangehörigen des 1. Schlesischen Jäger-Bataillons Nr. 5, das zwischen 1830 und 1887 in Görlitz stationiert war. Die Inschrift lautet: „Dieses Denkmal / setzten ihren verunglückten Kameraden / die Mitglieder / des Kgl. Preus. 5. Jäger-Bataillons / 1852. / Erneuert vom Verein / ehem. Jäger u. Schützen / Görlitz 1932“. Es befindet sich am Weg entlang der Neiße südlich des Neißeviadukt
