Description
Deutsch: Skulptur Sporergasse in Wolfsberg Kärnten, Österreich, EU.

Bis 1338, dem Jahr der Austreibung der Juden in Wolfsberg, hieß sie „Judengasse“. Später erhielt sie den Namen „Schwarzes Viertel“. Der Sage nach soll der Name Sporergasse auf einen Türkensporn zurückgehen, den ein Türke verloren haben soll. Bekanntlich hat aber kein Türke die Stadt betreten. Es wird daher vermutet, dass in dieser Gasse das Gewerbe der Sporenerzeugung betrieben wurde.

1982 erfolgte die Neugestaltung der Gasse zu einer Fußgängerzone durch die Stadtgemeinde Wolfsberg
