Summary

Description	This photo shows demolition of the main bridge as part of an FHWA, Highways for LIFE supported South Carolina DOT project to replace four consecutive structurally deficient bridges. After all of the old bridges were demolished, construction was started on phase II to finish constructing the other half (side) of the bridges and pave the highway. The project used innovative technologies and contracting and staged construction (PBES, SCC, A+B+C contract bidding, route management).
