| Description |
English: Delta junction for Metrolink, Manchester When Metrolink was constructed, it consisted of a main route through the city centre from Bury to Altrincham, with a short branch to Piccadilly station, which would meet the main route by a triangular junction opposite Piccadilly Gardens, at the top of Mosley Street where it meets Market Street. Since this junction was a very complicated piece of work and would cause major road traffic problems, it was not started until the rest of the works were well advanced. But by April 1991, the road surface had been broken to begin construction of the junction. |
