Summary

[edit]
Description A series of deglacial moraines on a north-facing slope in Val d'Olgia. The outermost ridge near the tree line probably is around twelve thousand years old, corresponding to the Egesen stadial when glaciers throughout the Alps re-advanced following the Younger Dryas global climate cooling event. Little Ice Age moraines can be seen at the base of the rock face where a little glacier strove until the early 2000s.
