Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Defterdar Mustapha Pasha Camii, by Sinan, dating to 1575, I found it closed.

From TrakyaGezi's site I quote (Google-translated, some adaptation by me): "It is located on Talat Paşa Boulevard in Edirne, between Ayşe Kadın Mosque and Siti Sultan Mosque. The mosque is in a large courtyard. It was built by Mimar Sinan for Mustafa Pasha, one of the bookkeepers of the 2nd Sultan Selim period. The building, which was severely damaged in various periods, underwent serious repairs from time to time.

The entrance area rests on four cylindrical columns with arches, its narthex in neat cut stone is covered with 3 domes, one of which is larger. There are 4 windows on the north facade, 2 on the right and 2 on the left, and a portal in the middle of them. There are two outer mihrabs with niches on the right and left between the two windows. On the other three surfaces, nine windows on three rows each light the mosque naturally.

The Harim section is covered with a main dome over a square plan. Its minaret is located adjacent to the northern end of the west facade. It may be supposed that the very rich ornaments of the structure have disappeared, the reason for this is that it has lost much of its originality in the repairs it has undergone.
