In English, this symbol is represented by the capital letters "TM" (™), which stand for Trade Mark. For this reason, in a similar way, in our country, the symbol that corresponds to the capital letters "MR" (MR), short for "registered trademark", is also used. These symbols are used to indicate intellectual property. The trademark symbol protects names and logos of companies according to their economic activity, showing that they have exclusivity on products and services provided by them. In Brazil, trademark registrations are paid for and must be made at the INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property), which is the body that regulates industrial property in Brazil. There is also Copyright (©). This symbol represented by a capital letter "C" inside a circle means that certain texts or images have copyright, that is, their reproduction must be authorized by him. The capital letter “P” inside a circle (℗), in turn, protects the sound rights. The "SM" (℠), short for Service Mark, is a symbol that accompanies the name of a company or a service provider. It indicates that the trademark used by them has not been registered and, therefore, can be copied by someone. How to Type the Symbol To make the trademark symbol, with the Num lock key active, hold Alt and type 0174. This way, you will get the capital "R" inside a circle ®. Follow the same step to obtain the Trade Mark symbol, but this time type 0153. Thus, you will get the capital letters "TM" in exponent ™. all image rights reserved to DIEGO CHEVILLARDE under the Trademark Registration Certificate Process nº: 914846671 |
