Description
English: U.S. Marine Cpl. Scott Hobak forms part of a perimeter set up to protect Exercise RIMPAC '98 forces landing on the beach behind him during an amphibious assault at Barking Sands, Kauai, on July 31, 1998. RIMPAC '98 is a multinational exercise held on and in waters surrounding the Hawaiian islands, involving more than 25,000 people, 50 ships and 200 aircraft from Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the U.S. Hobak is from Atlanta Ga.
