English: A Tomahawk cruise missile emerges from the vertical launcher in the bow of the USS Laboon (DDG 58) as it is launched to attack selected air defense targets in Iraq on Sept. 3, 1996. The U.S. Navy Arliegh Burke class destroyer launched eight missiles at 7:15 a.m. local time as it operated in the Persian Gulf.
