English: Senior Airman Luke Bingham, a Security Specialist with the 60th Security Police Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, Calif., controls traffic flow at a Entry Control Point on Aug. 21, 1996, for the tent city erected at Prince Sultan Air Base, Al Kharj, Saudi Arabia. Personnel, aircraft, and equipment conducting Operation Southern Watch are being moved from bases in Dhahran and Riyadh to the remote desert air base to reduce their vulnerability to terrorist attack. Southern Watch is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq. The security police contingent at Al Kharj has established a single entry point for all vehicles as security measure which allows for tighter control of vehicle movement in and out of the tent city. |
