English: The Joint Airdrop Inspection team from the 136th Airlift Wing climbs into the aircraft as judges start the stop watches at Airlift Rodeo '96 on June 24, 1996. The team has ten minutes to find 11 malfunctions in the heavy equipment load and 6 minutes to find a total of 12 malfunctions in the bundle container delivery system. Airlift Rodeo '96 is the United States Transportation Command's tanker/airlift competition which tests the flight and ground skills of aircrews as well as the related skills of combat control, security police, aerial port, aeromedical evacuation, and maintenance team members. Crews from the U.S. and nine other countries are participating in the competition held this year at McChord Air Force Base, Wash. The 136th is based at Hensley Field, Texas. |
