English: Deepcar railway station (site) Opened in 1845 by the Sheffield, Ashton-under-Lyne and Manchester Railway on the line from Penistone to Sheffield Victoria, this station closed in 1959. Frontage, from the valley floor. It has since been renovated as private accommodation. The railway line behind it was still open to Stocksbridge steelworks when this image was taken. |
