Description
English: (1 in a multiple picture album)

When folks first see the canyon there is not a lot of talking after the initial, "Oh, wow!" Then they stand for some time in silence, taking it all in. Most probably have the same sense I had the first time which was how small they really are in comparison.

This shot is taken near the east end of the canyon. It stretches away into the distance over 200 miles. If you bridged it across you'd need a one mile span.
