Description

Offshore Drillship Deep Ocean Ascension anchored off Cape Town awaiting transit to the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The ship had been recently built in South Korea.

This ship was owned by Pride International. Pride was bought by Ensco Offshore in 2011. It was renamed to the unglorified Ensco DS-3.

I took this from my balcony at Bantry Bay Suites.
