Description
English: An incomplete Mediveal to early Post-Medieval copper-alloy mount, dating to c. AD 1400 - 1550. The mount is circular with six equally spaced circular knops around the edge. The mount is undecorated, a small incised line separates each knops from the main body of the mount. The rear is undecorated, but has retained a fragment of an integral cylindrical shaft. 

Diameter: 14.01 mm
Thickness: 2.70 mm

Weight: 1.5 g

Similar mounts can be seen in Read (2016) Identifying Metal artefacts, p 36, All small single shanked mounts are dated to the 15th to mid 16th century.
