English: Decorative piece that used to grace the entrance of the Hofje van Beresteijn in Haarlem on the Lange Molenstraat, across the Haarlem railway station. Expansion of the station led to the demolishing of the building in 1969. This decorative piece was relocated and now hangs on the wall of the regent's room in the newly build Hofje on the J. Cuypersstraat, Haarlem. Photo of the current situation placed on top of original location photo (now gone in favor of bus parking). |
