Description
English: Two rim sherds and one body sherd of Roman samian ware. One rim sherd has no decoration present and weighs 4.66g; the other has a plain band below the lip then an ovolo 'egg-and-tongue' border which would have defined the decorated zone. This sherd has very straight sides and may be part of a bowl, it weighs 7.42g. The body sherd is also decorated with a fan-shaped plant, and weighs 4.19g. The pottery has a fine orange fabric with a darker orangey red slip.
