English: A paper dial presented by a clockmaker named Hanin during the French Revolution to the Committee of Public Instruction It was meant to cover a 12-hour clock face to convert to into a decimal time clock. Duodecimal hours 1-12 are in Roman numerals on the inner dial surrounded by quarter hours. Decimal hours 1-5 are in Arabic numerals on the outer dial, surrounded by décimes. |
