Description

"Лоно Авраамово". Средняя Русь. Первая половина XVIII в. Дерево, левкас, темпера. 183 х 90 см.

Дверь в жертвенник. Сверху вниз представлены следующие 4 композиции: 1. Рай. Лоно Авраамово. Авраам Исаак Иаков с душами людей. 2. Сотворение Адама и Евы. Первые люди предстоят пред Господом. 3. Изгнание из Рая. Плач о потерянном Рае. 4. Смерть человека и оплакивание. Изображен гроб с умершем и монахи. Литературной основой сюжета послужил текст покаянного стиха "Зрю тя, гробе", которого монахи совершали в память по усопшим.

Происходит из Никольского единоверческого монастыря в Москве.. Местонахождение: Музей-заповедник "Коломенское" (Инв ж - 375)
