Description
Centsprent met 4 x 3 omkaderde houtsneden. Bewerking van het sprookje van Charles Perrault, over arme ouders die hun kinderen in het bos achterlaten. Duimpje vindt de weg terug. Maar de tweede keer strooit hij broodkruimels en verdwalen ze. Ze komen bij een wildeman / menseneter. Duimken verwisselt 's nachts de kroontjes van de kinderen, waardoor de menseneter zijn eigen kinderen het hoofd afsnijdt. De reus eet zich zat aan een schaap, en valt in slaap. Duimpje pakt zijn laarzen, gaat naar diens vrouw en eist geld. Dan gaan ze terug naar hun ouders. Bevat drie- en vierregelige onderschriften.
