Oblong centsprent met 1 houtsnede, met de afbeelding van een levenstrap. Een kind in een wieg, vervolgens in oplopende leeftijden diverse paren, waarvan sommige dames met een waaier in de hand. Aan het eind van de trap een doodskist. Tekst op de onderzijde van de trap: 'Memento mori'. Daaronder een rijmende tekst van 15 regels over vergankelijkheid.
