Description
Italiano: Giuseppe De Nittis (Barletta 1846 – Saint germain en Laye 1884) Retour d'une promenade, 1875

Pittore e incisore, si forma presso l’Accademia di belle Arti di Napoli per poi trascorrere prolungati soggiorni a Parigi, entrando in contatto diretto con gli impressionisti. Sarà proprio il lavoro di quest’ultimi (dell’amico Degas in particolare) a influenzare la sua ricerca estetica, trasformandolo in uno artista internazionale. De Nittis concepisce il suo lavoro d’incisore come continua ricerca-sperimentazione. L’incisione è tratta da un dipinto in controparte dal titolo “Caffè a Parigi”, eseguito secondo la Sperken Farese l’anno precedente. Il foglio è stato pubblicato nell’Album di Cadart L’Illustration Nouvelle il primo settembre del 1875. Impressione eccellente, ampi margini. Ottimo stato di conservazione. Esemplare nel II/II stato riconoscibile per l’aggiunta delle iscrizioni. Firma dell’autore all’interno dell’inciso in basso a destra “De Nittis” Filigrana:“D & G Blauw”.
