Centsprent met 2 x 1 houtsnede, met afbeeldingen uit het verhaal van de man met de bontemuts, een geschiedenis van Duitse oorsprong, waarin de erfgenamen van een oud kasteel in een onderaardse gang een man met een bontmuts op het hoofd aantreffen, die, achter een tafel gezeten, dreigt met een knuppel. Het blijkt echter dat het een houten pop is, die in beweging gebracht wordt door het trappen op de treden die naar het onderaardse verblijf leiden. De bovenste afbeelding toont de ergenamen bij de ingang van de kelder van het kasteel. Op de onderste afbeelding worden bomen uit de grond gerukt om naar een schat te delven. Met tweeregelige rijmende onderschriften.
