Patroon : padang roesak. • (Zie blz. 174, 175, 266 en 267.) het veld van den doek, b voor de randen, c voor de këpala (het hoofd van de saroeng).De eersten zijn de meest ingewikkelde en worden gevormd door gestyleerde bloemen en blade-ren, die regelmatig terugkeeren; de sub b genoemden zijn lijnmotieven, terwijl de laatstensterk gestyleerde t o e m p a 1 s zijn, welke men met den naam van poetjoek rëboeng (bam-boe -uitspruitsels) aanduidt, (zie I, II en III van fig. 264). Voor het meerendeel zijn zij ontleend aan de op goud- en zilverweefsels voorkomende patronen,die de werkster voor haar speciaal doel eerst op geruit papier tot een bepaalde veld-versieringheeft moeten ontwerpen. Voor zulk een ontwerp is het noodig, de teekening van de songkèt-motieven zoodanig tewijzigen en te globaliseeren, dat de reproductie van de geheele figuur middels de ik at-techniekuitvoerbaar is.
