Tot de z.g. 1 a r a n g a n of verboden patronen behooren in Jogjakarta: i. alle parang roesak-soorten, de sëmbagèn hoek en de garoeda ageng, welke tot de speciale dracht van den vorst en de r a t o e, den kroonprins en diens vrouw behooren; 2. alle soorten s ë m è n (d. w. z. de patronen, van de s e m è n-lijnen voorzien) met de m i r o n g-kenteekenen (enkele of dubbele vleugels) of de sawat-kenteekenen (dubbele vleugels metbreeden staart), benevens de oedan liris (omdat de parang roesak hierin voorkomt);deze patronen vormen de dracht van alle pangèrans en hun vrouwen, poe tras (zonen) endochters van den vorst; 3. alle sëmèn-soorten zonder sa wat-kenteekenen, voorts kawoeng-soorten en het schuin-loopende motief roedjak sénté; deze vormen de dracht van de radèns-mas en radens f1).Alle doeken, die met soga-mengsels gekleurd zijn, noemt men kain sogan, ter onder-scheiding van de kain b
