Built in 1895 by Jerome P. Holland. Purchased in 1909 by Cornelious Dewitt, the property remained in the DeWitt family until 1988.With fourteen inch brick walls, twenty-two rooms, a basement and an attic, this house is an example of a early typical beach house. The cottage is now home to the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum. Only one left on Virginia Beach of its type.
