Nederlands: Waalcrossers roeiden in 1944-1945 verzetsmensen over de Waal om zodoende in contact te kunnen komen met het bevrijde zuid-Nederland. Dit beeld, "De Roeier", staat in Zennewijen en is ter herdenking van deze roeiers.
English: In 1944-1945, "Waalcrossers" rowed resistance fighters across the Waal in order to make contact with the liberated southern Netherlands. This Statue, "De Roeier", is located in Zennewijen and commemorates these rowers. |
