Kikkers kruipen uit de sloot en doen mee met exerceren. Onderdeel van een groep van vier spotprenten op de patriotten ten tijde van de Pruisische inval in oktober 1787. Herhaling van de originele versie maar nu met Engelse én Duitse opschriften. Zie ook de pendant en het bijbehorende paar spotprenten. Oorspronkelijk zijn ze waarschijnlijk als twee losse paren verschenen.
