| Description |
c/n OGMA-35 Built in 1959, this Chipmunk was produced under license in Portugal by OGMA and delivered directly to the Portuguese Air Force as 1345. Later sold off, it was British civil registered as G-OACP from August 1996 to March 2011. Listed as a Lycoming engine Chipmunk 22, it was registered to the Lisbon based Aero Club de Portugal and presumably remained in Portugal. Photos during this period show her in a civilian scheme with a Lycoming fitted. Later registered as CS-EAI in Portugal, she has since be re-engined with a Gipsy Major and returned to original military colours. She has been part of the museum here since May 2017 and is on display in Hangar 1 ‘Light Aviation’. Museo do Ar, Sintra, Portugal. 20th September 2022 |
