Summary

[edit]
Description This lovely Mansard-roofed rowhouse is located on the eastern portion of Dayton Street in Cincinnati’s West End. Constructed in the late 19th Century, this Second Empire-Style Building is defined by a large mansard roof that sits atop a structure with a two-story Oriel Window, an ornate cornice unlike anything else I’ve seen in the city, and carved limestone details that give this building a vertical emphasis and decorate the facade. Today, there appears to be some work going on in and around the building, and it appears to be coming out of a period of vacancy, and should be a beautiful showpiece of the neighborhood’s potential when renovated.
