| Description |
English: Built in 1925-1928, this Classical Revival-style building was designed by Herman and Brown to serve as the main Masonic Temple for the city of Dayton, Ohio. The imposing building features a limestone exterior with porticoes featuring fluted ionic columns, casement windows, decorative trim surrounds at the entrance doors, roman lattice motifs, pediments with acroterions, simple cornices, and large doric pilasters on the exterior of the building. The building is a contributing structure in the Steele’s Hill-Grafton Hill Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, and increased to its present size in 2023. |
