Description

This photo was taken during a recent day of activity held in Wolverhampton in partnership with the KICKZ Project.

Kids in Wolverhampton have been getting to know their local officers in a series of fun days over the last few weeks.

Neighbourhood officers in the Bilston East area have been holding a number of fun days in partnership with the Wolverhampton Community Trust Kickz project and Wolverhampton City Council as part of a crack down on anti-social behaviour around the Rocket Pool estate. The fun days have proved a success with a lot of positive feedback from the community and great involvement from local youngsters and the community.

Activities have included football sessions, bike marking, crime prevention advice and a community caravan with Xbox games. Due to the popularity of the events, plans are now being drawn up for further fun days throughout the six weeks summer holiday inconjunvtion with youth services and the Kickz project.

Acting Sergeant Simon Bott from Bilston East and Springvale neighbourhood team said: "The fun days have proved really popular and are a great way for us to engage with our local community and keep anti-social behaviour down in the area, we’re looking forward to holding many more."
