English: Paignton - Leeds Summer Saturday express running along the sea-front at Dawlish. View southward, towards Newton Abbot, Kingswear, Plymouth and Penzance. Emerging from the Parson's Tunnels and ignored by most of the (properly dressed) people enjoying the sea, Collett 4-6-0 No. 6835 'Eastham Grange' (built 9/37, withdrawn 5/63) is on Train 553 - though you wouldn't know it, as a smokebox indication has been overlooked, the 08.50 Relief to the Up 'Devonian'. (How lucky - perhaps? - were those who lived or stayed in those sea-front house!) |
