Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, General David Goldfein attends Israeli Air Force change of command ceremony at Tel Nof Air Base, Israel and awards the Legion of Merit, (degree of Commander) to outgoing Israeli Air Force Commander Maj. General Amir Eshel, August 14, 2017.

English: Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, Gen. David L. Goldfeinlanded in Israel today for a short visit to attend the change of command ceremony of the Israeli Air Force. Gen. Goldfein also presented the Legion of Merit (degree of Commander) to outgoing IAF Commander Maj. Gen. Amir Eshel for “exceptionally meritorious conduct” and for his long-standing partnership with the U.S. Air Force. Congratulations to Maj. Gen Eshel and to incoming IAF Commander Maj. Gen Amikam Norkin.
עברית: מפקד חיל האוויר האמריקאי, הגנרל דיוויד גולדפיין, נחת היום בישראל לביקור בזק כדי להשתתף בטקס חילופי מפקדים של חיל האוויר הישראלי. גולדפיין העניק את "עיטור המצויינות" (Legion of Merit) לאלוף אשל על שנים של שירות מצטיין וידידות ארוכת שנים עם חיל האוויר האמריקאי. ברכות לאלוף אשל ולמפקד חיל האוויר הנכנס אלוף עמיקם נורקין.
