Summary
[edit]DescriptionDassels, The end of Hobbs Lane footpath - geograph.org.uk - 619963.jpg |
English: Dassels: The end of Hobbs Lane footpath This is the 1,637th and last First Geograph of Hertfordshire to be submitted to the site, and how ironic that it should be of a footpath that ends in the middle of nowhere. The OS mapping shows it going beyond the keep out sign, only to end even further into the middle of nowhere. However there is a reason for this abrupt termination. This point is on the parish boundary of Braughing, but moves are afoot to change the footpath to a bridleway, with a possible extension to link it back to another bridleway within the parish. Beyond the sign is another typical rolling north Hertfordshire arable field. |
