Der Weg zur Burg (diu burcstraze) war in der Regel so angelegt,dass er nur für einen Reiter Raum bot*^); so wurde es bei einigerWachsamkeit wohl möglich, die Annäherung der Feinde rechtzeitig zuentdecken;
